There was lots of fireweed and scenery to keep us photographers busy.  We watched a wolf at the edge of the clearing but never got close enough for a photograph.

We found some nice bear tracks too.  They seem to like walking on the soft sand.

We saw one bear on the trip.  He was feeding on something and would look up occasionally to keep an eye on us.  I cropped this photo quite a bit so it looks closer than we were.

On the last day we passed Ruth Glacier.  Vegetation has grown on top of the ice.  You can also see how braided the river is here.  The braids were challenging to navigate through.
