Green Island Whale Watching and Kayaking

Eight of us chartered a boat from Whittier and rented the Green Island cabin for some sea kayaking and guided whale watching.  We left Thursday night and returned to Whittier Sunday afternoon.

Here's the gang in the Fera Mara owned by our skipper Brook.

The Green Island cabin is a single room cabin with 4 double bunks.  Several people brought tents to cut down on the crowding.

"Look a whale!" yells Cathy.  Friday was a beautiful day.

We found several humpbacks off Montague Point.

We decided to take a break in Rocky bay and do some hiking.  Brook designed and built the Fera Mara himself.  It's a beautiful boat and can easily carry 6 kayaks.
