They named themselves the Glacier Babes!

A large black bear stepped out of the bushes and walked across the glacier morraine. It was fun watching him.

Since I forgot the pasta for dinner we went to the stream in Pederson Lagoon for some salmon fishing. After catching two fish a Black Bear came out of the bushes about 20 yards away. We yelled and he stood up on his hind feet. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera. I missed a great photo.

When we hiked back to the kayaks we found another bear near our boats. She was eating grass and never bothered our boats thank goodness. She had some cubs but kept them in the woods so I never got a photo of them.

We quickly launched our boats and took some photos from a safe distance. What a great experience this was. I've never seen so many Black Bears in one day.

The last day we paddled North of Aialik Cabin along the coast. Some beautiful scenery for sure.
