Instead of fishing with he guys I decided to concentrate on photography for a day. On my way outside the bay I encountered a pod of Orcas.

This large male was headed straight for me so I turned off my motor.

After he dove I knew he would surface near my boat but I didn't know where.

He came up 15-20 ft away. It was very exciting.

I was able to get off four nice shots.
