Shotzy, a Minature Schnauzer, enjoyed the trip as much as we did. We figured she hiked the trail twice with all the running back and forth.

This appears to be a fishable stretch of the creek. It's one of the best Grayling streams in South Central Alaska.

The scenery kept getting better.

Finally we made it after about 3.5 hours. We rented a nice Forest Service cabin on the lake.

A beautiful lake indeed. The first thing I noticed was a prolific hatch of Mayflies and Grayling rising.
