Sitka and Juneau, Alaska

Colleen and I decided to go skiing in Juneau for the weekend. This was a good year for snow in South East Alaska.

This is Lynn Canal. Haines and Skagway are at the far end.

As we approached Juneau we flew low over the snow capped mountains.

They look great for skiing but are difficult to access.

Juneau was socked in with fog so the pilot flew in circles for about an hour. Needless to say I took allot of photos.

Finally they decided to land in Sitka instead.
