Devils Pass to Cooper Landing
My father flew in from Michigan for a four day backpack and fishing trip from Devils Pass to Cooper Landing. We hiked the Devils Pass, Resurrection Pass, and Bean Creek trails for a total of 27 miles.
We started at the Devils Pass trail head on the Seward Highway.
Crossing Bertha Creek. The trail was in excellent condition and is very popular. We passed dozens of mountain bikers and hikers. It took a long time to climb through the forest. The first day entailed 10 miles and 1400 ft elevation gain. The scenery in Devils Pass was incredible. It rained most of the day on and off making for a muddy trail in some parts.
