Devils Pass to Cooper Landing

This reminds me of the brook trout streams from Michigan.

A bear made this track after Tom and Colleen hiked through and just before I arrived. I was about one hour behind them having fished Swan lake. I never saw the bear but I knew he was close by.

Finally, our second cabin.

The views were magnificent.

We wasted no time in fishing the lake.

Running low of fuel we opted to boil some water over a fire. It worked surprisingly well.

I found a nice piece of Aspen and spend a couple hours carving a wooden spoon. I brought a small gouge chisel to carve out the hollow.
