Iditarod 2001 Charlie Boulding talks to some children at Yentna Station. Doug Swingley smiles for my camera while caring for his dogs. Doug is from Lincoln Montana and won the race this year. He also won the Iditarod in 95, 99, and 2000. He holds the race record of 9 days 58 minutes and was the oldest musher to win the Iditarod. He is 47 this year. As most racers would say... "He's the man to beat." Doug Swingley feeding his dogs with his "high tech" dog food. Looks alot easier then heating up food. A beautiful all white dog team. They look like a hand full. He finally gets them all moving in the right direction. Previous Page Next Page |
