Another magnificent grayling. This was one of the nicer rainbows we caught. Me with a dandy grayling. As we fished further downsteam we switched to egg patterns and streamers. We had a campfire most every night. The cool temperatures of this mountainous region made campfires a welcome addition and were very relaxing after a day of rowing, fishing, and setting up camp. This photo shows the take out spot on the left. The float plane used this straight section of the Mulchatna for it's runway. As we left I snapped this shot of the Mulchatna River. Note the braided sections which might hold some nice fish. Maybe next time. The flight back was spectacular as well. Here is a close up of one of the many glaciers in Lake Clark Pass. The End |
