If you've never been to Bosque Del Apache in Socorro, NM I highly recommend it. This wildlife reserve offers some outstanding bird and wildlife viewing opportunities. Thousands of Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese overwinter in the numerous lakes and marshes. Here are some Sandhill Cranes in flight.

Some of my friends and I from my photography club decided to go to the NANPA conference held in Alburqurque, NM. We came a few days early to photograph in Bosque Del Apache. The four people looking att the camera are my friends Bunny, Cathy, Ken, and Donna.

The lakes aren't very deep which is why the birds like them.

We had some great sunsets and sunrises which added some nice color to the water.
