OK, time for some serious fishing! We talked to some locals and got the scoop on the fishing. The best hole is a mile or so up called the Bedspring hole. There must have been a 1000 Red Salmon and hundreds of Dollies in that small hole. You have to take turns because of the crowds though.

We had no problem landing several dozen fish. We kept a couple.

Upstream I landed some awesome Dollies. Pound for pound wild Dollies fight harder than any freshwater fish I know especially the Sea Run Dollies. Many of these Dollies overwinter in the lake I was told.

Here is the ADF&G fish weir used for counting Salmon. The data is used to regulate the fishery. (Fish limit and season).

A nice fishing hole near our camp. 4-wheelers are the ticket to easy fishing. Hiking in the hot sun with waders was brutal. I'm sure you all feel sorry for me.
