Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival, 2007
Sam Devlin (standing) was kind enough to autograph one of his books for me. Sam is one of the foremost stitch and glue boat designers. The three boats in the foreground were all designed by him. I'm not sure what it is but it sure is pretty. Music filled the air on this pier. The Puffin was built in 1906. The period Semple compound steam engine produces 10hp from firewood and burns two bushels an hour.
My retirement boat. It sports a custom thwart and rock for an anchor. The brightwork requires no maintenance.
Two kids played pirate while they moved this boat to another slip.
