Time for a nap. I hiked to the end of the first lake and finally caught a nice fish. Dollies were feeding on the migrating smolt at the inlet of the lake. It was so nice out I didn't seem to mind getting wet. We both caught a dozen or so nice fish. They seemed to like bright colors. We found a dandy place to camp but the Black Flies ate us up pretty bad. I would recommend a head net. What a beautiful place! I love this photo of my boat and the sunset. Here you can see the entrance of Jack Pot Bay and the islands beyond. We stopped at Chenega Island to view the historic native town site. It's one of the oldest villages around. Captain Cook may have visited these natives in 1778. |
