 Here is the cemetary of those killed in the 1964 earthquake.  This memorial lists the names of those killed by the Tsunami. All but a couple buildings were whipped out. The village was never rebuilt. Years later Chenega was reestablished on Evans Island.  Our next stop was Green Island. We had pretty good luck during the three days we were able to fish because of weather.  We caught a few Yellow Eye also called Red Snapper. They taste great!
