Resurrection Bay Ski Tour

It was the highest tide of the month so I set up my Arctic Oven on the snow just to be safe.

The campfire was very welcome as the temperature quickly dropped below freezing. The seas calmed and it was very peaceful.

With clear skies I hoped for some Northern Lights. In the meantime I enjoyed photographing my tent beneath the stars.

I hung a lantern in my tent.

I always enjoy gazing at the stars in remote corners of Alaska. I find it very peaceful.

The stars kept getting brighter but no Northern Lights. I took this photo at 2AM.
